If your Daikin unit is displaying an error AND you notice any of the following, turn the system off at the wall immediately and call us:

Step 1: The "Long Beep" Retrieval Method

Unlike other brands, Daikin wall remotes often don't show the error code automatically. You must query the system.

Instructions for Standard ARC/Wireless Remotes:

  1. Hold "Cancel": Press and hold the 'Cancel' button on your remote for about 5 seconds. You will see "00" blink on the display.
  2. Press Repeatedly: Press the 'Cancel' button again (don't hold). The remote will emit a short beep. This means "Not this code".
  3. Listen for the Long Beep: Keep pressing 'Cancel' until the unit emits a continuous long beep.
  4. Read the Code: Look at the screen. The code displayed when the long beep sounded (e.g., U4, E7, L5) is your active fault.

U0 Refrigerant Shortage Leak Likely. The system is low on gas. Requires a nitrogen pressure test to find the leak.

Wait! Is it just "Defrost Mode"?
